Thareed Review

Since Ramadan is around the corner, I am going to review a Qatari dish that people usually have during Ramadan and that is Thareed. Here is a Lamb Thareed when it is ready to serve. You can visit the website for Thareed recipe.  Thareed consists of khobuz Ragag, which is a crispy thin Arabic bread, soaked in either meat or chicken soup called Saloona. Saloona is a meat or chicken sauce that mixed with vegetable such as potatoes, tomatoes and carrots. When you combine both khobuz Ragag and Saloona you will have a delicious out come which is Thareed. Thareed is one of my favorite dishes that I eat every single day during Ramadan because it is light in the stomach after fasting around 15 hours. Additionally, Thareed has many benefits. For instance, we eat Thareed in Ramadan instead of other dishes because it is lighter and it contains khobuz Ragag which is less dense than white bread and rice. Moreover,  Thareed provides a complete meal of carbohydrates, starch, fiber and proteins
